A kitchen nook is perfect for medium to large size kitchens especially kitchens that have a corner to spare. Kitchen nook furniture can give a kitchen all the coziness it needs. There are also ideal for bigger families because the seating does not consist of chairs but rather benches. Even if you don’t need the additional seating space a corner kitchen nook set would make your kitchen look as comfortable as you could imagine it to be. Maybe even a little romantic too. The kitchen is more than just about food, drinks and cooking. This kind of seating should have a proper space allocated to it. Some people don’t mind it being placing a kitchen nook set in between a kitchen and adjoining room and there is nothing wrong with that but the nature place is the corner. It’s what a nook actually means “a corner.”
what’s great about a kitchen nook is they are reasonable priced especially when comparing them to a kitchen table and chairs set. They seat much more and they look pretty darn good. They are also easier to maintain considering they don’t have chairs. If you have little children you will especially love a kitchen nook. Everything will be right before your eyes. You children can be seated neatly and you can see who is eating what and who isn’t eating their food. They simply won’t be able to wiggle around in their chairs. Kitchen nooks are also incredible durable most designs are built strong and you don’t have to worry about chair legs breaking because this is never an issue with a bench.
A kitchen nook is usually comprised of a table, bench and corner unit. You can easily seat 2 adults and six children. They are easy to assemble and they come in many types of wood. Pine is very popular but be careful because some also use MDF and personally I have never been a fan of MDF. I would be more than will to pay a little extra as much as 25% more for my furniture in return to having no MDF whatsoever in my furniture. This is especially true if you have kids. You want a nook that is dependable, strong and will last you a very long time. Cheap material like MDF will not give you that no matter how much a salesperson tries to convince you otherwise.
The loveliest design are made of solid wood and with a natural finish. This is a matter of preference because their are some beautiful nooks that come in painted colors, usually black or white. There are also more luxurious nooks and these would resemble fancier restaurants as the the bench and corner units are cushions and sometimes with leather. This is certainly not necessary because a traditional wooden kitchen nook is comfortable and cozy as is. Some popular designs that you will find both online and in stores are Chelsea kitchen breakfast nook, linon kitchen nook, ardmore corner nook. And the colors available are pretty varied. Dark woods such as mahogany and dark brown are popular. You might want a lighter color and finding a honey brown or light brown shouldn’t be an issue.
